Skiing at home…

Back home in the outskirts of Oslo, I had a quiet day in the forest on my mountain skis. Something familiar with the face on the skis? Åsnes (the only Norwegian producer of skis) has created a mountain ski for women. They are light, strong and have a softer kick. I am honored that they have named the model «Liv» after me.  I feel like it is just have got a couple of Olympic Golden Medals!

Well, too short time to enjoy skiing and skis – I´m heading east – to China…

About Liv

Liv is a Norwegian educator, cross-country skier, adventurer, guide, and motivational speaker. Arnesen led the first unsupported women’s crossing of the Greenland Ice Cap in 1992. In 1994, she made international headlines becoming the first woman in the world to ski solo and unsupported to the South pole – a 50-day expedition of 745 miles (1,200 km).
